Cody Farmer, having spent most of his adult life in Sevier County, developed a deep connection to the peacefulness of Douglas Lake and the surrounding Smoky Mountains. In 2016, he married his wife Bridget, who shared his love for the land and its natural beauty. Together, they dreamed of creating a space where others could experience the serenity they cherished. This vision led to the creation of their glamping resort, beginning with just four tents on Airbnb, and gradually growing into something much larger.

Now, with WYLDSTAY Smoky Mountains, Cody and Bridget have expanded their dream, building a place that blends the beauty of the lake and mountains with the comfort of glamping. The resort is a labor of love, a space for families to gather, unwind, and make lasting memories in one of the most tranquil corners of the world. With each passing day, they are reminded of the peacefulness that first inspired their journey, and they are excited to share it with others.
